The Clarity Curriculum
Working With Colleen
I never thought of myself as a coach, but when people started asking, I started talking with them. I listened. Told them what I heard. And offered things for them to look at in their own self inquiry. News spread by word of mouth, and more people started asking. I think they were drawn to the approach that I do’t know what’s best for you, but I can help you get clear about your own thoughts and feelings. I can help you recognize the gap between how you show up and the results you want to achieve. In essence, how to get out of your own way. I hold a mirror for others to see themselves plainly. Mostly what shows up is the misalignment they have become so familiar with that it feels like truth. From there, lifes decisions become more clear. People stop double guessing themselves. They find more peace of mind. And the right actions for them start to bubble up inside of their own sense of knowing.
My philosophy in coaching and workshops is to have people know themselves intimately, so they can confidently share who they are as leaders, partners, parents, friends, and so on.

Courses
There are 4 courses in the Clarity Curriculum. They are presented through Perspective Education. Each one is designed to meet you where you are, and guide you through the things you are dealing with in your everyday life. Finding Clarity is the first in the series. It is designed to bring us deeply present to the nuances of thoughts, feelings, body sensations and triggers that have become automatic in our lives. Living With Clarity is the second course. It is designed to awaken us to new levels of self-awareness. It deals with identity, belonging, validation, glass ceilings and more, so we can discover our natural, authentic SELF. The Clarity Course is the third in the series. It is a rigorous, advanced course that takes material from the first two courses to new heights. It brings us to understand how we show up in the world and guides us to bridge the gap between who we were born as and the person we have learned to become. During this course we design a life that is a natural expression of our newly discovered SELF, and topics like vulnerability, shame, and boundaries that may get in the way of transitioning in the our next chapter. Clarity Forward is the fourth course in the series. It deals with the underlying beliefs that guide our automatic responses in life. We look at things like letting go, self-forgiveness, releasing regrets. This course is for alumni only.
Workshops
There is something precious about having transformative conversations in a group. Working independently, and then sharing learning and insights together only expands what we are able to understand.
The workshops I offer are along the lines of my Clarity Courses. They range from community based learning to high level corporate and entrepreneur training. They are rooted in our internal conversations and the underlying beliefs that shape the way we show up as leaders, parents, business owners, or as a group of peers with a common objective.
I have worked with members of high level mastermind groups. Parents dealilng with troubled teens. At risk youth. Young adults from the inner city entering adulthood and the workforce. Women transition in retirement or after divorce.
One thing I am clear about is that the kind of people, the demographic, I am working with is less important than their interest in getting to the bottom of what stops them from getting what they want and need in life. Under the surface of our circumstances, we all struggle with blindspots. The mirror that I hold up for them to see themselves transcends any group identity.
Coaching
I hold a limited number of spaces in my calendar for one on one coaching. This is something I absolutely love to do.
One of the reasons people come to me for coaching is because I hold a mirror for them to see the signals they share with the world without even realizing. I only work with a handful of one on one clients anymore. But this is something I absolutely love to do.
One gentleman I worked with was frustrated because the women he met consistently “treated him like a sugar daddy”. He couldn’t see that, in his need to feel successful, much of his conversations were about business success, big deals, luxury purchases and so on. Once he saw that, we went to work on his inner dialog about success and failure. Another client had big dreams for a new non-profit, but felt too small to be taken seriously or to build something that would make the kind of difference he envisioned. Over time he learned to stop worrying about himself and to focus on the vision. What started as $500 out of pocket and helping a handful of people has turned into a multi-million dollar organization supporting lives at the local level and impacting city and state government practices.
